Description

Monument To A.S. Pushkin it is established in 1989. A sculptor of a monument is I. Kazak, and the architect - V. Yagodnitsky. The great Russian poet passed through Vitebsk twice: in May, 1820, being sent into an exile to the South, and in August, 1824, on the way to the exile from Odessa to the village Mikhaylovsky of the Pskov province.

Since 1989 at a monument to A. S. Pushkin at birthday of the poet annually there takes place the Pushkin holiday.
