Marc Chagall - a recognized master of the twentieth century, one of the the most famous representatives of the artistic avant-garde. He was born in Vitebsk in 1887 year, studied with Y. Pen at art school in St. Petersburg and Paris. He opened Vitebsk Art School and created a museum. In 1921 year Marc Chagall left Vitebsk and later lived in Germany, the United States and France.
