Description

The tour along the Lida — Dytva route is a one-day trip from Minsk combining historical landmarks with a visit to one of Belarus’s unique industrial facilities. The program includes a visit to Lida Castle and a production tour of the Dytva Peat Briquette Plant, featuring a ride on the plant’s narrow-gauge railway.

The first stop is a guided tour of Lida with a visit to the 14th-century Lida Castle — one of the most important monuments of defensive architecture in Belarus. Participants will learn about the medieval history of the region and the castle’s role in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

Next is the production tour of the Dytva Peat Briquette Plant. Guests will get acquainted with the railway station and depot operations, inspect specialized machinery, and then take a ride on the narrow-gauge railway — passing by both active and reclaimed peat extraction fields. The route covers approximately 10 km one way.

The tour to Lida and the Dytva Plant will be of interest to school, corporate, and tourist groups. Upon request, individual tours along the Lida — Dytva route can be arranged based on participants’ preferences.
