History of the development
Ditva was formed in 1970 to accommodate employees of a peat-mining enterprise, the working village of Ditva was founded. Until 1978, Ditva was part of the Krupovsky Village Council. Since 2006, the work settlement has received the status of an agro-town.
Tourism potential
On the territory of the agro-town of Ditva there are one of the largest peat processing enterprises of the republic, JSC «Peat Briquette plant «Ditva», a branch of SMT «Beltoplivostroy» SMU No. 2, dairy farm «Kulbaki», four farms, the Museum of Local Lore «Syalyanskaya syadziba kantsa XIX - pachatku XX stagodja» GUO «Ditvyanskaya secondary school» and the Museum narrow-gauge equipment.
The social infrastructure of the agro-town is also developed: Ditvyanskaya secondary school, a children's child development center, a branch of a music school, a branch of the sports school No. 3, two shops and a snack bar of the Lida branch of the Grodno Regional Consumer Society, 2 private shops, a bathhouse, a cultural center, a library, a medical outpatient clinic, a pharmacy, a post office, a comprehensive reception center, two dormitories, hotel, church and church.
One of the largest peat processing enterprises of the republic – JSC «Peat Briquette Plant «Ditva» – perhaps anticipated the appearance of a young village. It was laid down in 1966. And in 1972, peat extraction was started in the Berezina peat deposit.
