Belarusian State Museum of Folk Architecture and Life maintains and demonstrates traditional Belarusian monuments of wooden folk architecture of XVIII - early XX centuries. outdoors in a natural environment. The museum covers an area of 151 hectares and is located 4 km from the city of Minsk in floodplains Avian and Menka. Today the museum are 3 sectors: "Central Belarus", "Dnieper" and "Lakes". Each of them represents a portion of a typical settlement of the region late XIX - early XX centuries. with characteristic buildings.
At this time, the exhibition will present more than 25 monuments of Belarusian folk architecture of the late XVIII - early XX centuries. Among them are religious (church bell tower, chapel), social (public granary building public school), manufacturing (forge, the mill) and complexes of peasant farmsteads.
