Description
Excursion from Minsk to the “Belaruskali” and “Granit” production sites is an exciting journey that combines visits to the country’s industrial giants with breathtaking natural landmarks. The route will introduce you to the unique industrial history of Belarus, its achievements in the mining industry, and impressive man-made landscapes.
The first stop will be Soligorsk, where you will learn about the history of the development of one of the world’s largest producers of potash fertilizers. Next, you will visit the Salt Mountains — unusual rock formations that resemble Martian landscapes. It’s a perfect spot for vivid photos and relaxing outdoor walks. The final highlight of the tour will be a visit to the granite quarry in Mikashevichi — the largest granite extraction site in Europe. From the observation platform, you’ll witness the grand scale of production and see heavy machinery in action, including the famous BELAZ dump trucks.
