Description

Wooden Holy Cross Church was builtIn in 1782 at the expense of the owning village Countess Mostovskoi. Smallchurch was the cemetery.

Church and parish school were in Veresnitse in 1897. The church destroyed in Soviet times. A new church was built in 1993.

The church is located in 38 kilometers south-west from the regional center and the railway station Zhitkovichi (in Luninets-Kalinkovichi line), 250 km away from Gomel.

July 9, 1941 9 guards killed in the vicinity of the battles Veresnitsy. 117 people killed at the front and guerrilla warfare. In memory of them installed soldier sculpture and 2 boards with the names of the fallen in 1969 in the center of the village.

There are oil pumping station "Druzhba" oil pipeline on the territory of the village.
