French movies in Vitebsk

From 11 till 17th of October, 2010 a Week of French Movies is held in Vitebsk in the cinema «Mir». As expected, the representatives of Embassy of France in Belarus are taking part in this film festival.

Specially for children, at the opening and closing ceremonies the organizers decided to show the fairy tail «Kirikou et la sorciere» by Michel Ocelot. It tells the story about a brave young boy. He should overcome a lot of obstacles to break the spell from his native village.

There is a special film list for adults: the detective «L'heure zéro» by Pascal Thomas, the drama «Délice Paloma» by Nadir Moknèche, films «Bernie» by Albert Dupontel.

All films will be not translated and will have no subtitles. But the organizes have no doubts that many people will take part at a Week of French Movies in Vitebsk. Because it is a unique chance to listen to native language of famous writers.
