Museum of insects and beekeeping Staraya Ves on Ekskursii.by

The museum presents two exhibition halls, one of which exhibited collections of insects collected by the owner, and the other is dedicated to beekeeping.

Museum of insects and beekeeping «Staraya Ves» introduces everyone to the history of beekeeping from Ancient Egypt to the present, about the biology and ethology of bees, device of hives, distinction between different designs of beehives. Visitors can observe the life of the bee colony in nature, bees collect pollen and skills to care for the bees.

During excursion «Honeybee apiary» shown the instruments and tools of the beekeeper, the different types of framework, honeycomb, various products of beekeeping and industrial products, where it is used beekeeping products: confectionery, alcoholic beverages, medicines based on propolis, bee venom and royal jelly; cosmetic preparations; products of the chemical and other industries. Here there are drugs used for the treatment and prevention of diseases of bees themselves.
