Book Museum of the National Library of Belarus

Book Museum of the National Library of Belarus opened in September 2006. The main business is to acquaint visitors with the development of the Belarusian printing in the context of world history books, as well as the history of the National Library of Belarus. The museum demonstrates permanent and temporary exhibitions. It has a modern museum equipment, which allows to maintain the necessary artifacts microclimate. Book Museum presents a unique opportunity to see the curiosities of the collection of manuscripts, incunabula and rare books of the National Library of Belarus, introduces the development of the Belarusian printing in the context of world history books, especially Belarus, European and Eastern culture and the book presents the book as a work of art. Book Museum is located on the 3rd floor (room number 347) in the right wing of the building of the National Library of Belarus, a total exhibition area of ​​288 square meters. m and comprises two permanent ("Gates of book treasures", "The National Library of Belarus. Milestones") and 5-7 is temporary mobile exhibitions a year. The research work carried out in the framework of the research department of book science NBB.
