I.D. Chersky ethnographic museum was founded in 1989 on the basis of the Novosvolnyansky school museum. The creator of the museum is a teacher of history Shimuk Boris Philippovich. After the closure of the school, the museum was moved to the Volyncy village, and in 1992 it became a state museum. The exhibition is devoted to the study of geology, flora and fauna, archeology, history and ethnography of the Verkhnedvinsk region, as well as the life and work of I.D. Cherskiy.
