Legend "Prince”s bed"

Legends Of Belarus
According to legend, the name Loshitsa is associated with the period of feudal wars in the Middle Ages. One of the Belarusian princes, going on a campaign against his brother, stopped to spend the night on a hill near Minsk. Suddenly a crynica began to creep under him. The phenomenon was interpreted as a sign urging to stop the bloodshed. The prince turned his troops home. In memory of this event, the place became known as the Prince”s Lodge, then simply the Lodge, after which it acquired its present name - Loshitsa.
