On July, 1st, 1697 owner Shemetovo Kshishtof the Despot-zenovich has decided to invite in the manor of monks – Carmelites. In a manor of Shemetovo in the beginning there was a wooden chapel, constructed in 1714 Kshishtofom the Despot-zenovichem. The cassimere Sulistrovsky has altered this chapel in a family crypt, simultaneously having begun church building. Possibly, the Cassimere Sulistrovsky in 1816 has constructed stone family каплицу on a place of the wooden. On May, 11th, 1828 priest Andrey Senkevich has consecrated it under a title of the Sacred Cassimere. And building of a wooden church in a place of Shemetovo has been finished in 1810. The same year priest Antony Bagensky has consecrated it under a title of Rise Dominical and in 1813 here there was an arrival. In historical archive in Vilnius from certificates on a christening and on death from archive of the former parish church extracts are stored in Shemetovo, confirmed by the Svirsky dean – priest Andrey Senkevich. It follows from this that arrival to Shemetovo has been based before 1813. From these documents it is possible to learn names of fathers of Carmelites which worked at that time in a church. Carmelite Andrey Bartoshevich appointed in 1813, the last – the father Carmelite Ambrozy Prazhmovsky which worked here till 1832 when the imperial government together with a church in Shemetovo liquidated Carmelite manor. Under some data, the church has been disassembled in 1863. Shemetovsky arrival has been restored only in 1904.
