St. Elisabeth Convent

The monastery - a place where we have come to learn how to live the commandments of Christ, the will of God.

St. Elisabeth Convent - a female Orthodox monastery on the outskirts of Minsk (near Novinki). At the present time - the only working monastery town. Founded in 1990 year in the place where the first church did not exist. Named in honor of the Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna.

In the monastery seven churches : the monastery - the bottom in honor of St. Nicholas and the top in honor of the patron saint of the monastery Martyr Elizabeth , house church in St. Ksenija of St. Petersburg in psychoneurological boarding school № 3 for adults, a temple in honor of the Resurrection of Lazarus Chetverodnevnogo at the Northern Cemetery of Minsk, a temple in honor of Mother of God.

There are over twenty different workshops . The monastery refectory is open to pilgrims and several monastic stalls. Also there is a farmstead, located 30 km from the city of Minsk, which undergo rehabilitation persons affected by drug addiction and alcoholism. The monastery conducts charitable activities in the Republican Clinical Psychiatric Hospital, boarding schools for children and adults with special needs, hospitals of the city.
