The buildings of the former barracks of the Lenkoran-Nasheburg 163-rd Infantry Regiment, located at Lenin str., the oldest street in the Vitebsk city, the length of which is about 2 500 m.
In the XIX century, on the street was located: the city council (in the building of the Town Hall), the police and gendarmerie, the church of St. Bernardine. Anthony of Padua, the hotel «Brozi», City Council, the chapel in memory of the 50th anniversary of the reunification Uniates with the Orthodox, provincial lithographic printing, the editors «Vitebsk Provincial Gazette», breech chamber, an orphanage, women's prison, the first city school, Mariinsky High School, barracks of Lankaran regiment and St. Basil Cathedral.

On November 21, 1910 in a former barracks housed Private male gymnasium IR to thrive Vitebsk Pedagogical Institute.
During World War II street partially destroyed. Among the few surviving buildings of the former barracks building stand-Lenkoran Nasheburgsk 163-rd Infantry Regiment.
