Description

The exact date of the founding Holy Assumption Church in the town Panikvy unknown. Some sources refer to the construction of the temple in 1710, others - by the end of the XIX century.

The temple consists of a rectangular wooden log cabins of the porch, the main volume of the apse with a sacristy and the bell tower adjoined later. The entire interior of the temple is made of wood. Especially noteworthy are the choir and painted iconostasis.

Today, the Church continues taking the local parishioners to prayers and service.
