Church of Peter and Paul in Rozhanka
Description
Church of Peter and Paul in Rozhanka - architectural monument of
neo-gothic, one of the first monuments of this style in Belarus. The first information about the temple was 1512 year. Church was built on the project by
Henry Marconi of rubble stone and brick in 1827 year, rebuilt in 1924-25 years. It's a single-nave church cruciform in plan with a five-sided apse.
Village Rozhanka previously owned a famous family Patsey. The church was built
by Mihail Patsey, who treated the Hetman's branch of family. When the place belonged Jozef Patse, a wonderful
estate was built by the Italian architect Carlo Spampani with the greenhouse and the English Garden. The mansion hasn't been preserved until our days. There is speculation that the church and the estate put together
underground tunnel, the tunnel, which was held under a small river Tur'ja.
