Description

Church of St. Alexander Nevsky (the beginning of the XVII century - the middle of the XVIII century) - an architectural monument of the late Baroque , the only one in Belarus the temple of the Knights of Malta Order. It was built in 1740-46 years by Commander of Order M. Dombrovski, designed by renowned architects I. Frontana III and I. Glaubitsa as the Church of St. Ioahn Baptist, intended for the Military Order of Malta, and imported from Italy sculpture of the Mother of God.

In the first time at this place by order of M. Radziwill Sirotka for his son Zigimont Carol in 1610 it was built a wooden church of St. Mary and Ioahn Baptist.

Temple is three-nave basilica with two towers on the the main facade. In the interior of the temple 1740-46 years it was included as a presbytery Chapel built in 1639.

In the 1830s and late 1990s the Orthodox Church was handed.
