Description

Trinity Church (1472) in the village Ishkold - architectural monument of the late Gothic, one of the oldest preserved temples in Belarus, with the oldest churches in the unreconstructed country. Initially, the was built as a Catholic church, and later - in the time of Nicholas Radziwill Black - both Calvinist collection, then again as a church. The only period - From 1969 to 1970 - the church has not acted.

Church in Ishkold - one of the most amazing churches in Belarus, first of all, because it was built in the late Gothic style, and was never seriously damaged or rebuilt. This temple - not the gothic that impresses with its elegance and aspirations up to Gervyaty or Vidzy. This gothic - original, Belarusian, thorough and designed to protect the shrine. Legends tell of the church very different. One legend says that the church Nicholas Nemirovich built in gratitude to God for the long-awaited heir, the other, that the church was built with the hope and prayer for the appearance of son of the family.
