Description

The memorial engine to the Belarusian railroad (No. 9PM - 221) is in vicinities of the railway station Baranovichi - Polesia. Engine 9P (The 9th type of the engine — factory designation) — the shunting tank engine of type 0-3-0, being issued in the Soviet Union with 1935 for 1957. Last Soviet engine of a normal track.
The new shunting engine which has received designations 9P has been developed Lokomotivproyekty NKTP in 1934 — 1935 . The first, skilled engine of this type has been constructed on The Kolomna engineering plant in 1935. Engines 9P were used by the Soviet railroads at shunting works, and also on the ways of many plants and mines.
The mass of a steam locomotive in working order — 55 tons, a water-supply — 5 m ³, a coal inventory — 2 m ³. It is established о 2-ой половине 20 века. /STRONG>
November 29, 1871, when to the station Baranovichi there has arrived the first train, it is considered birthday of the Belarusian railroad.
