Description

The building of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, was built in 1937 year, designed by architect I. Langbarda. Represents a monumental building with a colonnade of two rows.

National Academy of Sciences was founded in October 1928 year as the Belarusian Academy of Sciences and inaugurated January 1, 1929 year, is a leading research center of Belarus, combining highly-skilled scientists of different specialties and dozens of research, research and production, design and promotional organizations. The National Academy employs about 17.7 thousand researchers, technicians and maintenance personnel. Among them, more than 6.3 thousand researchers, 510 doctors and 1926 candidates of Science.

Belarusian scientists at the Academy of Sciences established public universities: ”School health of older people”, ”Expansion of current knowledge”, ”Health of Older Persons.” The arguments of scientists clearly show the benefit of healthy lifestyle. Based on their research, developed all program documents of the State to improve the health of our citizens.
