Yanka Kupala monument in Minsk - a monument to the outstanding Belarusian poet. Established in 1972 in the Kupala park to the 90th anniversary of the poet`s birthday.
Above the monument sculptors worked Gumilevsky L., A. Anikeichik, A. Zaspitsky, architects Levin and Y. Gradov.
For Soviet sculptural tradition it was characteristic of megalomania, that is why the national poet of the sculptural image came quite ambitious. However, the trees that tower above the figure of Kupala, some conceal the true scale sculptures. On a massive granite pedestal stands the figure of Kupala full-length with a staff in his hand. At the foot of flowing spring - a symbol of the poet immortality and fern flower blooms. Soulful personality of the poet - fighter.
