Description
Museum of the History and Culture of the Jews of Belarus was opened in April 2002. More than 10000 exhibits, documents, materials and photographs related to the history of the formation of Belarusian Jews are collected here. The museum is the center which collects, preserves, and promotes the history and culture of Jews in Belarus. The museum is also engaged in educational and research activities.
Visitors of the museum will be able to plunge into the past and feel the spirit of the old Jewish town and get acquainted with the culture and history of the Jews of Belarus and their most prominent and famous representatives. Also, museum visitors will learn how to bake matzo on Pesach, listen to records with melodies in Yiddish.
