Description

Church of St. John the Baptist in Benyakony is a two-towered three-nave basilica, an architectural monument with neo-baroque and neoclassical features. It was built from 1900 to 1906 years of brick in place of a wooden church in 1634, was built by Jan Chaplinsky.

Mary Vereshchako is buried near the walls of the temple, beloved of Adam Mickiewicz, who participated in the national liberation uprising in 1831 and in 1863-1864.
