National Olympic Training Center of Athletics

The complex is situated on the banks of Slepyanskaya water system, built in the late 70s years for the sports society «Labor reserves». The building is one of the best sports facilities in the city.

The Center Athletics work: athletics arena with a 200-meter running track, two swimming pools, gymnastics halls, artistic, athletic, and the halls wrestling, boxing.

There athletes athletics stadium with six 400-meter jogging track around the field for a long Throwing (hammer, drive a spear), a field with a synthetic coating for a training of players and field hockey. In the adjoining forest area has treadmills for training and cross-track and field (length of track - 1, 2 and 3 km).

In 1924 year Belarus hosted the first All-Belarusian festival of physical culture, which were conducted competitions in 12 kinds of athletics. In 1928 year Belarusian athletes took part in all-Union competition in 1952 year performing at the Olympics. Called athletics «Queen of Sports», since in most of the Olympic Games medals have set for this sport.
