Description

Estate of Hmary in Semkovo - monument of manor and park architecture of the XVIII century. The complex included a manor house, two ofitsiny, a greenhouse, an entry of Brahma, arbours and French park.

Estate House was built in 1775-1780 under the supervision of the estate manager Onuphry Pavlovich and has characteristics of the transition from Baroque to classicism to rococo. The building is one-story, rectangular, stone with corridor planning. The central part was occupied by state rooms, one of them was called royal, where the last king of Rzeczpospolita Stanislaw August Poniatowski stayed. The interiors of the house had an exquisite decoration, painted, gilded chandeliers, hardwood floors, tiled stoves, expensive furniture. A small formal and landscaped garden were divided near the estate, taking area of 10 hectares. Today, the manor house is in ruins, the park is neglected.
