History of Construction
The church was built alongside the Franciscan monastery at the end of the 18th century. The second half of the 19th century was a time of significant reconstruction, during which the building acquired a renewed appearance while preserving its original style. Throughout different historical periods, the church served both religious and cultural functions, while the monastery played an important role in the spiritual development of the region.
Architecture of the Church
The church is a classic example of late Baroque with elements of Classicism. The facade of the building is adorned with elegant pilasters, decorative niches, and sculptural elements. The interior impresses with rich frescoes and an altar composition that creates an atmosphere of grandeur and tranquility. Due to its combination of monumentality and refined details, the church remains one of the most remarkable religious structures in Belarus.
