Description

Winter Garden - a monument of architecture of XIX century, is part of the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble. Created from the plant in 1877 on the orders of Prince F. Paskevich in the building of one of the shops of the sugar factory.

Winter greenhouse Paskevich Heated two Russian furnace in the basement. The inside wall of the Winter Garden lined natural minerals, which allows plants to create a living Laza green carpet. During World War II garden suffered enough. Garden collection includes 18 species of subtropical plants: magnolia, palm hamerops, eonimus, coffee tree, figs, laurel, etc. The oldest - palm veerolistnaya, planted in 1888.
