History of Construction
Initially, the Vyleva Church was built in the second half of the 19th century. It served local parishioners for over a century, but after the Chernobyl catastrophe, the village of Vyleva fell into the resettlement zone. To preserve the church, it was moved to Gomel. The authenticity of the materials used in the reconstruction remains in question, as some architectural differences can be noticed when comparing with archival photographs.
Architecture and Spiritual Life
The church is designed in the traditional style of wooden Orthodox architecture. Its appearance reflects features of folk architecture typical of 19th-century churches. Despite possible modifications after relocation, the church has preserved its atmosphere and remains an active place of worship where services are regularly held.
