Polotsk hillfort

The Polotsk ancient settlement - an archaeological monument of the 8th century, the place of origin of ancient Polotsk in the lower reach of the river Polota. Here the mass of the elite objects connected with a princely environment - a jewelry and products from glass, very expensive at that time is found; church utensils; objects which demonstrate that there were workshops and lived handicraftsmen. The settlement has been well strengthened, the remains of shaft have remained.
