The first set for the production of knitted fabric was put into effect in 1985, and in 1986 he was commissioned in the second set - dyeing and finishing production. In this regard, in 1986 Zhodino sewing and knitting factory was transformed into an independent business entity - "Zhodino industrial sewing and knitting union", and in 1991 Industrial sewing and knitting union became world famous company of "Svitanak." Today "Svitanak" - a recognized leader of Belarus for the production of knitted underwear and garments for children and adults.
The area of the company is 10.7 hectares. The company is composed of knitting, dyeing, set-zakroyny and sewing workshops, employing more than 3 million workers. The range of products is constantly updated: introducing new models, articles of knitted fabrics, designed for the printed color pictures, new formulations for dyeing. Monthly produced about 500 models of clothes.
The main customers of the company are the Republic of Belarus (about 55% of production) and the Russian Federation (about 40%). In Belarus, the production company sells through its own stores and specialty retailer. In Russia of "Svitanak" delivers his jersey through its own trading houses, as well as through major distributors. In addition, the products of the company comes to the markets of Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, the CIS and Baltic countries.
