History
The chapel was built in 1912 to mark the 100th anniversary of the victory at the Battle of Gorodetschna. The initiative for construction came from General Prince Krapotkin. The land for the chapel was donated by peasants of the village of Poddubno: Kuzma and Malofey Kurchak, as well as Roman Hrytsuk. During World War II, the chapel was destroyed, but it was rebuilt in the 1990s. In 2015, a memorial ceremony was held here, during which the remains of 29 soldiers who died in the 1812 battle were reburied.
