Description

As if the bride dressed in white dress, Church Prechistenskaya in Lahva stands. The graceful dome, staring into the blue of the sky, bath in the gentle rays of the sun. Church is a wonderful monument of retrospective Russian style, built in the mid-19th century on the site of the wooden church of the Nativity of the Virgin. It is striking in its elegance. Square in the plan with the main volume polutsirkulyarnoy apse and two poppy-heads are connected to a massive tent belfry. The richly decorated facade used corbel arches, corbels, cornices, portals, and other elements. The bulk of the palm roof completes the traditional five domes. The temple is part of the relics of St. Manefa Gomel. The blackened by time frames vintage pacified images of saints look from the walls. Old icons painted by unknown artists in 17-18 centuries, like messengers of the past, sad eyes look to the present century.
