Trials and Revival of the Church
Tragic events affected the church in 1942 when it was destroyed by fire. However, the faith of the local residents remained unwavering. A temporary church was built on the site of the burned building and was consecrated on January 15, 1946, by priest Vladimir Kotor.
Reconstruction and New Consecration
In 1990, a large-scale reconstruction of the church began with the blessing of Bishop Konstantin (Khomich) of Brest and Kobryn. During the work, a new foundation was poured around the old building, and the walls of the new church were erected. Seven years later, on November 8, 1997, the church was consecrated by Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, Metropolitan Filaret of Minsk and Slutsk.
Feast Days and Significant Dates
The church's main feast day is the Ascension of the Lord. A special place in the life of the parish is the solemn service held on August 1, the day of remembrance of St. Seraphim of Sarov.
