History of the Church
Zhytoml Holy Annunciation Church was erected in 1730 and has remained an important religious and cultural center of the region for nearly three centuries.
Throughout the centuries, the church has endured many trials. During times of war and political upheaval, it remained a symbol of faith and unity. Despite hardships, the church continued its mission, and in the 19th century, a restoration was carried out to preserve its original appearance.
During the Soviet era, many religious institutions were closed, destroyed, or repurposed for secular use. However, Zhytoml Church managed to survive, retaining its spiritual significance. Thanks to the care of local residents and believers, the temple continued to exist despite difficult historical periods.
Architectural Appearance of the Church
Zhytoml Holy Annunciation Church is a unique monument of Belarusian wooden architecture from the 18th century. Its architectural design reflects traditional folk construction methods combined with Baroque elements. Built entirely of wood without nails, the church impresses with its harmonious proportions and masterful craftsmanship.

The wooden facade is decorated with carved ornamental elements, showcasing the craftsmanship of 18th-century architects. The windows are small and elongated, giving the building a strict yet ancient character.
