Memorial complex to heroes of the War of 1812

The memorial complex to the heroes of the War of 1812 is set in the center of the village Klyastitsy in 1962.
The monument is dedicated to the battle 16-19 July 1812 between the French and the Russian army corps at the village Klyastitsy on the road between Polotsk and Sebezh during the War of 1812. In this battle the Russian troops under the command of Lieutenant-General Wittgenstein defeated the superior forces of Marshal Oudinot and halt the advance of the French in Petersburg.
