Trinity Church in Dolginovo
Description
The Dalginov Holy Trinity Church is a unique monument of retrospective Russian-style architecture that should definitely be included in your itinerary for excursions around Belarus. Built in the second half of the 19th century from brick, the church is a cross-domed structure with a harmonious symmetrical composition and a semicircular apse. The central part is adorned with a dome on a high octagonal drum with elegant arched windows. The vestibule is topped with an octagonal bell tower featuring a tented roof and a small spire. The interior of the church is notable for its wooden iconostasis, decorated with intricate carvings and gilding.
