Agricultural academy in Gorki

Complex of agricultural academy - a monument of architecture of first half XIX - the beginnings of XX centuries. The main case is erected in 1830th under the project of the Italian architect Kampioni in style classicism, some cases of the end XIX - the beginnings of XX centuries in styles of eclecticism and a modernist style. The complex consisted of 35 buildings - three three-storyed brick cases - educational, writing, room, a workshop, a greenhouse, a country infirmary, a bath, inhabited constructions.

The academy history begins since 1836 when the imperial government the decision to open in a place of the Gorki of the Mogilev province agricultural school was accepted. It had courses of two categories: the higher and the lowest. Here prepared agriculturists and managers for state and private manors. The agricultural school in Gorki quickly won popularity in Russia, in 1848 has been transformed to Gorki-Goritsky agricultural institute, since 1925 became the Belorussian agricultural academy.
