Soldiers Memorial Ensemble Border Guards
Description
The memorial to the soldiers, border guards ensemble was opened in Grodno on June 22, 2004. Belarusian border guards dedicated to the Border District, died in the early days of World War II. Sculptor GV Buralkin, architect S. Mabuza, Project Manager - Chairman of State Committee of Border Troops of the Republic of Belarus, Lieutenant-General A. Pavlovsky. Erected on private donations border of the Republic of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, citizens and organizations, as evidenced by a bronze plaque on the back wall of the granite memorial.
Sculptural group of bronze, representing the soldiers who were shoulder to shoulder to defend the borders of the Fatherland, has become a central part of the ensemble. For the figurative expression of dramatic events of the first days of the war in the composition includes fifteen of boundary pillars, which are evidence of participation in the protection of the border troops of the fifteen Soviet republics. Boldly and proudly look forward troops, confident of victory, passing through the fire fighting and clutching his weapon.
