Description

Military historical complex «Minsk fortified area» is located 50 kilometers from Minsk, in the Dzerzhinsky district, near the Stankovo village. The exposition of the complex consists of military equipment, heavy weapons and border outposts and includes 38 units of military equipment, which is located on 7.2 hectares.

On the territory of the complex, the buildings of the commandant’s office, customs, soldiers’s club and dining room of the 16th Dzerzhinsky border detachment of the 1920s – 1930s were recreated. One of the buildings has a temporary exhibition hall.

Minsk fortified area is part of a complex of long-term firing points of field engineering structures stretching along the pre-war western borders of the former USSR from the Baltic to the Black Sea.

Here are the widely known types of military equipment from the Second World War. Along with samples of the period of the Great Patriotic War, the armament of the Soviet Army is presented.
