Cathedral of the Archangel Michael in Mozyr

In Mozyr the main temple of the Turovsky diocese - the Cathedral of Saint Michael the Archangel was located. In the middle of the 18th century it has been built at the initiative of the Mozyr marshalk of Kazimir Oskerko, but then - a church. For a long story of a wall of the temple have endured many hardships - offices and hospital, church, prison of People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs where more than 2000 death sentences have been pronounced. Now the cathedral is the residence of the Bishop of Turov and Mozyr, and to his crypt the only museum of political repressions in Belarus is located.
