Description

Motol Transfiguration Church is an architectural landmark retrospective of the Russian style, it was built in 1877 of brick. The temple consists of a three-tiered bell tower, a refectory, five-sided apse, and the main building.

At the site of today”s stone church was a wooden Uniate Church of the XVIII century. But in a fire in 1864 which destroyed half of the Motol, the church burned. After that, the locals decided to allocate funds for the restoration of the church.
