History of Creation
The history of the Volovel Saint George Church began in the 1880s. The construction of the church became an important event for the local residents. The church was consecrated in honor of Saint George the Victorious, one of the most revered Christian saints. Since its foundation, the church has served not only as a place of prayer but also as a spiritual center of the village, having survived the difficult times of wars and religious persecution. In the post-war years, the church was preserved thanks to the efforts of parishioners.
