History
The creation of the forest zoo became a logical continuation of the work of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve, which has been protecting unique ecosystems since the mid-20th century. The idea behind the zoo was to showcase the beauty and diversity of Belarusian fauna without disturbing the natural processes of wildlife. Since its opening, the zoo has become an important part of the reserve’s eco-route, along with the popular Nature Museum.
Excursions
An excursion from Minsk to the Forest Zoo of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve is a chance to see more than 20 species of wild animals, including elk, bear, wolf, lynx, and bison. Birds and domestic animals are also present. The area features pavilions, a children’s playground, a parking lot, and a souvenir shop. The zoo is open daily: from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM in summer and until 5:00 PM in winter.
You can book a private tour for this route or include the zoo as part of a regional travel program. We will help tailor the trip to your interests and preferred format of rest.
