On June 27, 1990, the decision of the Board of the Ministry of Culture of the BSSR awarded the DOSAAF Museum the title of "People's" for the enormous work of the museum in collecting and preserving the historical heritage, its contribution to the patriotic, civil and moral-political education of the younger generation. On August 17, 2015 DOSAAF History Museum confirmed the title of "People's" museum.
Also the museum of the history of DOSAAF museum was awarded with Certificates of Honor of a number of ministries and departments of the Republic of Belarus, public organizations for the work of the museum. Especially the work on patriotic education of youth, propaganda of history was noted.
In the halls of the museum meetings are held with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, soldiers-internationalists, veterans of labor and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, famous athletes; seminars-classes, methodical gathering.
