Description

September 4, 1563 in the Brest printing house of Nikolai Radziwill Cherny, the Bible was printed - the largest printed edition of the ХVI - ХVIІІ centuries in Grand Duchy of Lithuania.

The fate of the Bible was tragic. Almost all books burned down. A memorial sign was installed near the Brest Regional Library named after M. Gorky. It is here that the copy, restored in 2003, is stored.
