Description
Krichev historical museum was founded on 30 December 1959 by Decision of the Mogilev region Executive Committee of Workers' Deputies. Museum opened for visitors on 15 October 1961 on the basis of the materials which had been collected by M.R Melnikov. On 16 February 2008, the museum was located in a new building, the XVIIIth century architectural monument - Potemkin's Palace. Display area halls of the museum is 719 m2. There are two permanent four temporary exhibitions exhibitions. The total number of museum objects is 19 812 units, of which 18 628 general fund, auxiliary science in 1184. The museum holds monthly classes on various subjects Museum: "Krichev - town with a sea story", "Krichev orthodox", "City of shoers and gunners", "Secrets of Archaeology". In the annual "Night of Museums" organized pageant with live classical music.
Exposure
History of the palace” Interior room in the style of "winter garden" with a thematic exhibition devoted to the history of palace. Exhibition features 956 exhibits antique furniture, dishes XIX century, archaeological collection (from the Neolithic to the XVIII century.), weapon X - XIX centuries., paintings, books XVII - beginning of XX centuries.
”Museum of mother” are written, audiovisual, duffel images, photos, documents, awards, personal items, works of sculpture. In total there are 179 exhibits.

”Grand hall” interior transmitting the general mood of the ballroom era of Catherine II. Used as a concert and lecture hall.
”Knight”s Hall” thematic exhibition on the history of Krichevschina from antiquity to 1772 with elements of interior XVII - 1st half of the XVIII century.

”Cabinet library” thematic exhibition on the history of Krichev and Krichev earldom in 1772 - the beginning of XX century. with elements of interior XVIII - XIX centuries.
