Bujnichi field

Memorial complex «Bujnichi field» is opened on May, 9th, 1995 on a feat of all defenders of Mogilev during the Great Patriotic War, and in particular, soldiers 388 shooting regiments 172 shooting divisions and civil guardsmen of Mogilev. Authors of a memorial architects V.V.Chalenko and O.P.Baranovsky. Total area of a memorial of 22 hectares.

Central object - a chapel, a symbol of greatness of a martial spirit of the slavs reflected in erection of temples.

Simonov Avenue comes to an end with a stone-sign from the facsimile Konstantin Simonov. From the back party of a stone a memorial board with an inscription «All life he remembered this field of fight of 1941 and bequeathed to dispel here the ashes». The memorial sign to the writer has been established in 1980, the stone was powerful 15 tons is brought from territory of a republican Museum of stones. The avenue of defenders of a city of Mogilev has been put on April, 17th, 2004. In the beginning avenues there is a stone, the memorable table with an inscription «Avenue of defenders of a city of Mogilev», along avenue young oaklets are planted, tablets with names of heads and heroes of defense of Mogilev of 1941 are established.

On the Mogilev earth not once passed bloody battles. So, the well-known Bujnichsky field near Mogilev was a fight place in 1595 between the risen peasants and cossacks led by Nalivajko with a 18-thousand horse army of magnates of Grand duchy Lithuanian. In 1812 bloody fight with the French armies here has taken place.

Memorial complex became the center of patriotic education of youth. Here Memory Watches, lessons of courage, a meeting with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, solemn receptions of pupils in numbers of the pioneer organization and the Belorussian republican union of youth are spent. Also carrying out of patriotic actions are summed up: meetings of participants of campaigns in places of fighting glory, the celebratory actions dated for a Victory Day and anniversaries of clearing of Mogilev.
