Description
Grodno main synagogue - a monument of neo-Russian architecture, built in the second half of the XIXth century of brick on the site of the burnt wooden synagogue in 1578. Represents a three-storey square-plan building with gable roof. The temple was valid until 1939. Currently, the city returned to the Jewish community.
Grodno Synagogue - one of the oldest synagogues in Europe, listed as a historical and cultural values of the Republic of Belarus is an important monument of the history of the Jewish people. There are regular services are held on the occasion of the Jewish religious holidays. The pilgrims are provided with kosher food.
